Dean J. Holmes, Eastern Divisional Vice President
Mr. Holmes joined Berkshire in 2001. He has overall responsibility for the management and operations of the Eastern division portfolio of properties. Additionally, Mr. Holmes oversees new acquisition/due diligence activities on a national basis.
Prior to joining Berkshire, from 1995 to 2001, Mr. Holmes was Vice President of Operations for Realty Management Services Inc., a private apartment owner and manager based in Bethesda, Maryland. Previously, from 1990 to 1995, Mr. Holmes directed property management operations for Key Property Management, a Canadian owner/operator with apartment holdings in the U.S. and Canada.
Mr. Holmes earned his BS degree from the University of Maryland and he is currently pursuing a MBA from the University of Maryland. He is a Certified Property Manager candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management. Mr. Holmes is also a member of the board of the Maryland Multi Housing Association and the Property Management Association of Washington, D.C. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
