Shereen P. Jones, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Jones is responsible for the Company's financial strategy and operations and oversees the Company's financing, accounting, legal, technology and risk management operations.
Ms. Jones has extensive financial experience in both the public and private real estate sectors. Most recently, Ms. Jones was Chief Financial Officer of Boykin Lodging Company, a NYSE-listed REIT. Previously, Ms. Jones held senior positions with the investment banking firms Credit Suisse First Boston, Lehman Brothers, Kidder, Peabody and Oppenheimer, specializing in real estate finance and mergers and acquisitions. On Wall Street, Shereen raised over $10 billion in capital for real estate clients, and her activities included raising public and private equity capital, originating and placing loans, lines of credit and bond transactions, as well as representing both buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Jones' involvement with Berkshire began in the early 1990's, having served as banker on multiple transactions with the Company's affiliates, and she joined Berkshire in 2011. Ms. Jones is a graduate of Duke University and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
