Steve Wood, Berkshire Residential Development
Steve Wood is the executive in charge of the Berkshire multifamily development team. He has negotiated and is currently overseeing approximately $300 million of new apartment Joint Venture development projects that have closed over the past 24 months. Mr. Wood has extensive relationships with many of the leading multifamily development companies in the country, as well as prominent regional developers. Mr. Wood has 30 years of development and building experience in multiple asset classes, both domestically and internationally. He has overseen over 100 projects working for housing companies like Ryan Homes and Picerne Properties as well as with his own development firm. This experience includes negotiation and entitlement of land sites, ground up development, the take–over of failed projects, and implementation of successful development business plans. In addition, he was actively involved in the development of the new state of the art Lynch–Van Otterloo YMCA facility in suburban Boston. Mr. Wood received his MBA from Northeastern University and B.A. from Hobart College. He is a member of ULI and NMHC.
